Foxglove Silver Cub
Number seeds in the packet: 100.
A hardy biennial. An unusual Foxglove with soft to touch silver foliage, producing a multi-stemmed plant with strong yet stocky flower spikes with glistening white blooms.
Ideal added to a sunny or semi-shaded border where it will flower in its first year if sown late January. Sow seed on the surface of a good, free-draining, damp, seed compost and place at a temperature of 18-29°C.
Lightly cover the seed with vermiculite. Place in a propagator or seal container inside a polythene bag until after germination which usually takes 14-30 days.Do not exclude light, as this helps germination.
Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle into trays or 7.5cm pots. Gradually acclimatise plants to cooler conditions for a few weeks before planting out after all risk of frost, 45-60cm apart. An early sowing will occasionally produce flowers in the same year.
If you purchase up to five packets of seeds only (any varieties), the P&P will be a total of £2 only. In order to qualify for this special P&P price you need to apply a code at the checkout, please click here for details and terms and conditions.
