A beginner’s guide to veg sowing and growing

Posted on April 17, 2014 by Potter & Rest

Our best tip for starters is not to go over the top with your seed selection. You don’t have to grow hundreds of things from seed. Just go for a few veggies and do them well.

Now is a good time to start your journey into the greenfingered world by checking out a few summer crops.

These are grown when the weather is generally better and they tend to give relatively quick results with minimal work.

Start with some simple crops such as beetroot, courgettes and lettuce. You could also try peas and dwarf French beans.

Check back here tomorrow for our beginner’s guide to growing beetroot.
